Andrew Therriault

Doctoral Candidate, Department of Politics, New York University

Biography

In the fall of 1999, I was transplanted from the suburbs of Boston to the middle of Manhattan and NYU, where I studied politics, journalism, and creative writing. After graduation, I first worked in educational publishing, then was asked the following year to teach a summer course in international relations. When the summer session ended, I moved to Ohio to work as a field organizer during the 2004 presidential campaign. That winter I went back to Boston and making books, but I had developed a taste for teaching and a renewed fascination with politics, so in 2006 I returned to NYU and began work on my PhD.
